REVIEW: FunBites
I know a lot about picky eaters. I take my son to a picky eater class where we have goals to get him to touch food and play with it. They tell me that him touching and playing with food is a first step. He once ate a half of a chicken nugget which was a huge deal. In the meantime, he mainly wants milk, rice, and broccoli. (Go figure on the broccoli!) So, when I saw FunBites, I was excited to learn about a new option for preparing fun in a new way.
I received the green FunBites to chop into rectangle shapes. It differed from my expectation of what I saw on the website. It was smaller and more sturdy than I expected which I really liked. I also like that it is ergonomically better than what I expected and that you press hard, but you can also rock it a little to help push the food through. (The food pops out!) Finally, I liked that it is top-shelf dishwasher safe because it would be a pain to clean by hand. We tried it with a melon and it was pretty smooth and easy. We used it on top of a cutting board which was good because I wanted something safe to push on and cantaloupes are messy with the extra juice when you cut them. As you can guess, I definitely recommend this! Enter our contest to win one below or order one from their site!
FunBites has generously offered to provide a prize to one of our readers. To enter, just leave a comment below. We'll select a winner on April 15, 2012. Please respond to our email within 24 hours with your address so that we can send it to the sponsor in order to mail your FunBite. If we do not hear back within 24 hours, we will select a new winner.
UPDATE: Congratulations to the winner, Chloe S.!
