Review: Fagor Electric Pressure Cooker
This is one of my favorite reviews because I learned how to use a product that helps me to prepare dinner quicker without sacrifice! Veggies that took me 20 to 40 minutes in my steamer take less than 3 minutes in this Electric Pressure Cooker! The rice that usually takes me 40 minutes on the stove top is done in 20 minutes! It is so amazing. This is a definite must-have for busy moms!
I consider myself to be an excellent cook and people love coming over for dinner. However, I’ve actually never used a GOOD pressure cooker. I hadn’t realized how wonderful a pressure cooker can be when you have a good quality one like the Fagor Electric Pressure Cooker. I’ve been experimenting with different uses for it and have decided that it is a permanent staple for my counter top. I am in love with it!
Here are a few experiments that I tried this weekend!
Rice: I made 2 batches of the short grain brown rice in my Fagor Electric Pressure Cooker this weekend because my family ate it so quickly! I was thrilled that they liked my rice and that it was so quick and easy to make! I added one cup of rice and two cups of water. I put it on "Rice" mode for 20 minutes. Check out the before and after pictures below!
Corn on the cob: My husband said that this was the best corn that he ever had! He's so sweet. I added two ears of corn with 3 cups of water and then put it on "Vegetable" mode for 3 minutes which was perfect.
Broccoli and carrots: I would do this differently in the future by separating the broccoli and carrots. I added 3 cups of water and then put the carrots and broccoli in. The carrots were perfect on "Vegetable" mode for 3 minutes. I'd probably reduce the broccoli down to 2 minutes next time, but they were still good.
The Fagor Electric Pressure Cooker shown here is 6 quarts. I visited the Fagor website and am listing the features of this pressure cooker that they provide:
- "6 qt. capacity
- Programmable delay-timer for up to 8 hours
- Equipped with high and low Pressure Settings
- Self-locking lid and automatic pressure release setting for your convenience
- 3 Programmed pressure cooking functions for Meat, Vegetables, and Rice
- The lid will not open while there’s pressure inside the cooker for safety
- Two independent pressure control valves and anti-overheating protection for added security.
- LED screen with soft-touch control buttons.
- Instruction Manual with over 30 delicious recipes
- Requires regular 110V household power.
- ETL approved."
I am a new pressure cooker fan. I see myself using this at least once a week from now on because it is convenient to use and has wonderful results. I love that I can make fresh veggies so quickly for dinner. I'm also looking forward to future experiments.
