In preparation for this review, I searched around for existing reviews on the Vinturi Essential White Wine Aerator and I found it striking that it has 603 five-star ratings on Amazon!  If you visit the reviews, you will read many examples of people that love this product.  There were also 10 one-star ratings. My review sides falls into the majority because we loved this device!


Let me give you the description of the product from their website: 

"WHITE WINE NEEDS TO BREATHE, TOO! It's a longstanding myth that white wine does not need aeration. The truth is that white wine displays the same improvements with aeration as red wine. Vinturi for White Wine has different internal dimensions and flow rates. The result is perfect aeration specifically for white wine."

Now let me tell you about my experience using it. I bought a bottle of white (Sauvignon Blanc) and red (Cabernet Sauvignon) wine  (both under $10) even though the product was designed for white wine.  I was pleased that it improved the taste of both.  The difference is hard to describe, other than that the wine has less of a bite to it.  That is, the wine is much more smooth.  I also noticed in the white wine, much more than the red, an improvement in the range of flavor.  I will certainly be using my Vinturi aerator in the future.
