Review: Jamberry Nails
I was really nervous about this review because I
didn't know if I would be coordinated enough to pull it off. I am happy to
report that I successfully tried nail wraps from Jamberry Nails and they are
awesome! This is my first time trying nail wraps and I was afraid that I
wouldn't be able to line them neatly or trim the edges. Melissa Henderson, an independent consultant
for Jamberry Nails, gave me the encouragement to watch the video and give it a
try. I'm so glad that I did because they turned out really nice.
She let me select any two prints, so I chose the breast cancer awareness
wraps and the lavender magnolia wraps shown below.
It took me a while to apply them because I was so
nervous! First, I used nail polish remover to clean my nails. I pushed my
cuticles back since they emphasize the importance of not letting the nail wraps
touch your cuticles or skin - otherwise they will likely peel. I then
selected the size closest to each nail and cut the respective size wrap in
half. For each nail, I heated up the wrap with my hair dryer, pressed it onto
my nail, smoothed the wrap, heated it again, trimmed the tips to better line up
with my nail, filed the edges to perfectly line up, applied heat one last time,
and smoothed it one last time. It was easier than I expected. I took
about 40 minutes to apply them, but the majority of that time was prepping my
cuticles. If my cuticles had been in better shape, I would have been
faster. I also went faster toward the end once I had more practice.
I get so little "me time" during the
day when I need to work or spend time with my family, so I don't visit a nail
salon often. I love these Jamberry nail wraps because I can use them at night
after I put my toddler to sleep. They are such a great invention!
UPDATE #1: Today is Saturday and I've had these on for two days. I'm amazed that they still look as good as they did on the day that I applied them! I was super nervous that I would ruin them in the shower yesterday, but they were fine. So far, so good!
UPDATE #2: Today is Tuesday and still receive compliments on my nails! I'm no longer nervous wearing them because they've stayed on well for 6 days now. They are so awesome!
