Review: Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Roll-on Wax for Legs and Body

Review: Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Roll-on Wax for Legs and Body
I normally shave my legs, but occasionally use my epilator or wax.  So, I have some experience with at-home products like these and enjoy using these types of products because I love good results. In preparation for my review of this new roll-on wax from Nair, I thought about my main questions:

  • Does it hurt?
  • Does it work?
  • Do I have any allergic reaction?
I was very cautious in following the instructions exactly for this review!  I prepared and applied everything on my own, but my husband helped to remove the strips.  It was all simple - heat up the wax, apply it, put the strips on, rip them off, and get on with life! They list standard precautions that I took such as a patch test and making sure that the wax wasn't too hot throughout this process. There is also an optional step of applying a cool wash cloth that I used because it felt so good! (See the package for more detailed instructions, but those are the high level overview.)

Does it hurt?
I'm reasonably skilled when it comes to using beauty products like this and my expectations for pain were reasonable. For instance, of course no waxing is pleasant, but I can take a few seconds of discomfort as long as it truly is temporary. My biggest problem would be if it rips skin off instead of hair. I was really happy that it wasn't too painful and didn't damage my skin.  It helps that my husband has assisted me with removing wax strips in the past and he is good at removing them quickly.  It was totally worth the few seconds of tingling that I felt for the awesome results!

Does it work?
I'm thrilled with the results? I used this product yesterday, so I am in all of my glory enjoying my smooth legs today! I love it!

Did I have an allergic reaction?
No!  I feel lucky that everything went smoothly (pun intended) for me!

I realize that everyone is different, but for me, this product absolutely rocks! I love that it worked so well and I plan to continue using it. I'm really happy with the convenience of the applicator, the effectiveness, the price of the product, and how well it worked.  The Nair website says that results may vary by individual, so I can't say that you will have the same experience as me, but I can say that I am thrilled with my results and hope that others have similar experiences.

  2. Wax still scares me for some reason. I guess I'm not very good at it. I've played the role of both 'assistant' and 'victim' and I think I need more practice. Maybe if I tried different products like this, it would help.

  3. first I would like to say you have an awesome husband if he is skilled at waxing...LOL. I would be scared to let my husband do it.
Thanks for the awesome review. I just wish that I was brave enough to try it but I think I better stick with the salon!

  4. I wondered about this! Thank you for the share...I hate buying in store wax kits because they never work, maybe I"ll give this one a second look-see :)

  5. I've never used waxing products before but I assumed it did hurt to do it. Nice that you have a helper.
