Taste Test: Back to Nature Organic Shells & Cheddar dinner and Crazy Bugs Macaroni & Cheese dinner
I've always made mac-and-cheese from scratch for my son and mixed in pureed veggies to make it a little healthier.  We were at a friend's house recently and they gave him some store-bought mac-and-cheese which was a big hit with him. He couldn't get enough.  My friend told me how you can buy mac-and-cheese that is organic with no artificial preservatives.  She also told me that I need to learn to take short-cuts for meals since I never get enough sleep.  So, trendy moms out there - I decided that I need to do a Taste Test!  How do some popular Mac-N-Cheese dinners fare in our house?

We tried four varieties for the taste test - two varieties of shells and two varieties of fun shapes (bunnies vs. bugs).  These include:

• Back to Nature: Organic Shells and Cheddar Dinner
• Annie's HomeGrown: Shells & Real Aged Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese
• Back to Nature: Crazy Bugs Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
• Annie's HomeGrown: Bunny Pasta with Yummy Cheese Macaroni & Cheese

My family was excited about the fun meal/activity that I had for them! We tried all four and held the Taste Test with the following categories:

The Macaroni and Cheese that You want to try first:

• Grownups choice: Back to Nature Organic Shells & Cheddar
• Reason of why it stood out - We like shell noodles best and the color was softer  and it looked like it may taste creamier.

• Toddler choice: Crazy Bugs
• Reason of why it stood out - In his exact words, "Want cool bugs!"  They just look fun. (Bunnies were his second choice.)

 The Best-Tasting Macaroni and Cheese:

• Grownups choice: Back to Nature Organic Shells & Cheddar
• Reason of why it stood out - It tasted the most natural and creamiest to us 

• Toddler choice: Crazy Bugs
• Reason of why it stood out - My son is just a toddler, but he really loved the bug shapes. He kept saying, "Yum!"

Finally, I have to let you know which ones were gobbled up fastest. We liked all of them, but we definitely ate our favorites quickly.  Since my husband and I are bigger than our toddler, the Back to Nature Organic Shells & Cheddar dinner disappeared first.  We didn't eat too much of the Back to Nature Crazy Bugs Macaroni & Cheese dinner because it made our son so happy and we wanted to save more for him to eat later. We still have left overs of the competitor's brand which may or may not disappear soon.  The competitor brand was good, but we just preferred the Back-to-Nature brand.
