Review: Kinderfeets wooden balance bike

Review: Kinderfeets wooden balance bike
My toddler isn't big enough for a bicycle with pedals yet, but the Kinderfeets wooden balance bike is absolutely wonderful for him! I didn't realize that he would catch on so quickly and love it so much!

Our Kinderfeets wooden balance bike arrived in the package below.  All of the parts are shown in the second photo. I thought that I would be intimidated by the assembly, but it was actually easier than I expected. I timed myself and it only took me 14 minutes to assemble. I wasn't racing to do it as quickly as possible, it was just that easy! One thing that I noticed during assembly is that Kinderfeets pays close attention to detail and I think that the product is very good quality.

Check out the assembled Kinderfeets wooden balance bike below! Isn't it cute?!  My son quickly hopped on the bike while we were still in the house. (I put a helmet on him before I let him get going.) He liked the soft seat.  I also like the seat it because it is easy to wash.  He had a blast riding this around and I'm always going to remember his happy grin and how he said, "Look mommy!"  That's the best!

My son has a big wheel, but I would not let him have a bicycle with pedals at this age.  I don't think that he has skill level for that yet and it would be too dangerous. On the other hand, I am happy to have him ride the wooden balance bike and follow him around on it. I think that it is a great precursor to a bicycle for when he is older.  I love that he can develop confidence on his balance bike before he is old enough for a bicycle.
Kinderfeets wooden balance bikes are for ages 2 and up. Children that use this should be less than 70 pounds.  They come in natural wood or six different chalk-board finishes.
