6 must-have accessories for your car

6 must-have accessories for your car

If you spend a lot of time in your car, it's important that you feel at home whilst behind the wheel. There are so many ways to accessorize your car - both inside and out - and, with the help of this guide, you can inject some personality into your vehicle. PassSmart's Izzy is no stranger to car accessories, owning a set of leopard print seat covers, and she's sharing her very best tips on Trendy Mom Reviews.

Steering wheel covers

They come in a range of colors and materials, and, if you spend lots of time driving, are very kind to your hands. Sheepskin steering wheel covers look great, are interchangeable, and you can pick them up for less than $20. You can also buy rubber or leather wheel covers, so there's lots to choose from.

Storage

It may seem like a very sensible accessory, but car storage units are perfect for keeping your belongings in order. It's easy to fling your bags on the back seat, and chuck the kids toys in the trunk, but a messy car is not a stylish car! Trunk and backseat storage units are available online and divide your belongings into different compartments. It's the perfect mom's accessory and you'll spend a lot less time searching for rogue soccer boots.

Lashes

You'll have seen these about. Car lashes are all the rage at the moment, and whether you think they're tacky or terrific, they'll be available to buy in a motoring shop near you. Go au natural with some simple but effective lashes, or all out with some diamante eyeliner to complete the look. They retail from anywhere between $10 and $20, and are easy to fit and remove!

Car stickers

Car stickers can look great as long as you don't overdo them. From flowers and hearts to funny slogans, there are lots to choose from. The kids will love these, and you can even buy Mickey Mouse stickers which make it look like he's peering through the windscreen. You could get even more creative by turning your car into an animal. If you've got a red car, for example, you could stick black circle stickers over the paintwork to turn it into a ladybird. Don't worry, they're easy to remove, so you won't be permanently stuck with a ladybird for a car!

Espresso machine

Yes, that's right, you can now buy an espresso machine for your car! The handspresso is a portable espresso maker designed to be used in the car. Simply plug it into your cigarette lighter and enjoy freshly brewed coffee from the comfort of the driver's seat. If you're a mom who just doesn't have time for a caffeine hit before the school run, the handspresso could be your dream accessory. Just try not to spill it down your work shirt!

Air freshener

There's no point having a perfectly decorated car if it smells like leftover Macdonalds and dirty sports kit. Complete the look (and smell) by buying an air freshener to hang over the rear view mirror. They can be bought from most garages and motoring stores, and come in a range of different scents.
If you're feeling really creative you could make your own. Simply cut out a piece of cardboard in the shape you want, staple some fabric to either side, and add some drops of your favorite essential oil to the both sides. It's quick, simple, easy and you can top the scent up as often as you like.

  4. Why, what big eyes you have my dear! Lol...the lashes are pretty cute, I would probably be more likely to go with the leopard print seat covers but one of my friends has pink lashes on her ride.

  8. Ok, I have to admit I have never heard of car lashes. I have seen deer antlers around Christmas time but never lashes.
