Review: Souper Salad
My family had a blast visiting Souper Salad. Souper Salad is a buffet with not only soup and salad, but also a hot bar, desserts, and breads.  We had a great time and we will definitely visit again because they have great options that my family loves, including lots of fruits and veggies. It feels good to eat a healthy dinner and to think about the good nutrients that we consumed rather than feeling guilty about over-indulging on unhealthy food.  

Souper Salad is inexpensive. I don't know if the prices vary across the country, but in Lewisville, TX, the cost at Souper Salad is $6.79 for the full adult buffet or less for kids. My toddler is only 2 years old, so he was free. Sometimes they have special deals. Sign up for their Souper Fresh Club to receive occasional Souper Salad coupons.

 

Their menu changes each day and you can check their website for the menu each week. (Here is the Lewisville, TX menu.) Right now, they have 20 items that are 70 calories or less.  Not only can you find low calorie options, but it is easy to fill your plate with good nutrients since they have so many fruits and vegetables! My son likes the variety and was enthusiastic about eating a healthy meal. He liked that I let him choose from so many items. Raw broccoli was one of his favorites! He calls them "baby trees".

Once my toddler ate his veggies, I let him pick out muffins and a small piece of pizza. Check out the pictures of my happy little guy!

 

Finally, we shared dessert.We had pound cake with strawberries, whipped cream, and cookie crumbles. As you can see, my son loved it!

While we ate at the restaurant, I love that you can also get food to go! I wish that I would have known about this sooner. I am guilty of sometimes going to a fast food restaurant because I want something quick and cheap. For almost the same price and speed, I like that Souper Salad provides the option to fill up a box with lunch or dinner. They make it so easy to eat healthy!

Finally, I want to comment that the staff at Souper Salad seemed to have unlimited energy. They didn't know that I was there to write a review, but they energetically kept everything clean and stocked. As soon as we finished a plate of food, someone promptly picked up the dirty dish. I was impressed with how efficient and friendly they were.
