How to Cheat on Your Spouse (with Netflix)! #streamteam

How to Cheat on Your Spouse (with Netflix)!
Did the title of this post grab your attention? I sometimes laugh at the search terms that people use to arrive at Trendy Mom Reviews.  I'm curious to see the traffic that we will receive from How to Cheat on Your Spouse (with Netflix).  In all seriousness though, haven't we all done a "Netflix cheat"?!  In today's post, I'll share tips for cheating.

Let's start with a hilarious video about cheating from Netflix:

Isn't that video hysterical?  Let me share some more tips.

1. Create a burner profile.
As mentioned in the video above, a burner profile is critical.  Create a profile, binge on your favorite shows, and then delete the profile.

2. Watch while you work.
I have my own office and close my door to watch Netflix in the background while I work through my lunch break.  It's a great way to sneak an extra hour of Netflix into my day.

3. Go on a play date.
Yes, a "play date".  I conspire with a friend to order pizza and snacks for the kids while we binge watch.  My husband is none the wiser.

4. Take your iPad to soccer practice, piano lessons, or other activities.
Did you know that Netflix lets you download episodes?  Load up your iPad or laptop so that you are able to watch episodes while you wait for your children.

5. Work the night shift.
We have a young baby who believes that it is time to p-a-r-t-y at 2am.  He's like clockwork.  I quietly take him out of his crib to feed him and enjoy my favorite shows.

Finally, practice your "surprise face" and frequently exclaim, "Oh-no-they-didn't!" while you watch the episode together.  Don't feel bad about cheating either.  The figure below shows that 46% of streaming couples cheat.  (Read more here.)
