Tips for Helping Your Baby to Walk

Tips for Helping Your Baby to Walk
Watching your baby take their first steps is an amazing experience! In today's post, I'll share tips for helping your baby to walk while creating precious memories.

1. Start with photos in mind by dressing the part.
Order trendy baby shoes that are comfortable and adorable.  You'll want to capture some of their first steps in photos, so make sure that you pick a pair of baby shoes that will look good in your baby's memory book!  Personally, we ordered shoes from Jack & Lily.  They have the most adorable mocs, shoes, and boots.  Check out trendy Alma mocs below in the adorable gift-ready box. The little owls are a hoot!

Here is a closer view. Aren't they adorable?!

These shoes are really nice, especially for our baby who has been picky about wearing shoes. The reason that they work well for our baby is that the moccasin style is lightweight and the soles are flexible.  The photo below shows the sleek design of the shoes and their soles.

The velcro on the shoes is nice because my baby is able to help when we put his shoes on. I love that he is curious about the shoes, but that he keeps them on!  Here is a closeup of the shoes. Again, aren't they adorable?!

The shoes seem versatile for my baby who is crawling and cruising. He seems to find them cozy whether he is crawling or cruising.  Here is an action shot of him crawling.

2. Walk with assistance.
If your baby is ready, help them to walk by giving them support while they walk. Hold onto them while they practice their balance.

3. Give encouragement.
If your baby has a favorite toy, use it as motivation.  Hold it out ahead of them in order to encourage them to take a few steps.

4. Give praise.
Babies love praise!  Acknowledge their hard work and amazing steps by clapping and giving praise.

A baby's first steps are an amazing part of life. We hope that you enjoy the memories with your little one!
