How to Tie a Large Scarf into a Faux Infinity Scarf

Mother's Day is just around the corner.  In today's post, I'll tell you about a trendy Texas designer and a scarf that we love. There are two reasons that I wanted to feature this scarf. The first is that it was designed by a local Fort Worth artist, Allison Castillo. The second is that I thought that the unique and colorful Texas artwork would resonate with many of you for Mother's Day.  I will also show you how to tie it into a faux infinity scarf.

Here is the brief description of the scarf from the Allison Castillo website:
"After traveling to Mexico several times I've come to love Otomi pattern and designs. I created this one of a kind scarf with my home state in mind :)
  • Multi-colored, Texas themed icons.
  • Featuring myriad ways to wear—twisted, double-up, wrapped, tied—it's sure to be your most versatile wardrobe piece.
  • Incredibly soft and lightweight on, perfect all year long!
  • Dimensions: 38"x 70".
  • 100% Viscose
  • large weight
  • Imported.
Comes in cute, muslin drawstring bag. Perfect for gifts!"
This scarf is sure to be a memorable gift for Texan moms.  The generous size and colorful artwork is a beautiful reminder of many things that inspire happiness in our home state. The designer thoroughly curated images that represent our state and used bright colors to give it a unique and lively look.  She even paid careful attention to include a trendy bag for the scarf.  It's easy to see that she put her heart into this design. I think that the trendy design and attention to detail is what makes this such a special Mother's Day gift. Check out her website here and her Instagram here!

Now that I've talked about the scarf, let me share the steps for my favorite way to tie a faux infinity scarf.  Personally, I love the flexibility of having a gorgeous scarf that is versatile, but often tie mine into infinity scarves.

Directions on how to tie a faux infinity scarf
1. Tie the ends of the scarf.

2. Twist the scarf into a figure eight.

3. Pinch the center of the figure eight and flip the bottom onto the top.
