Ingredients
- 1 Baker's Corner Rainbow Cookie Dough Kit from ALDI
- The kit contains: one packet of cookie dough mix, 3 color packets, and 3 animal cookie cutters
- 12 Tablespoons of room temperature butter
- 3 eggs
Directions
1. Prepare the dough by combining the cookie dough mix, butter, and eggs in a large bowl and mixing until well combined.
2. Place the dough on a floured surface and divide into four parts. You will combine one packet of color with one part of dough to create red, yellow, and blue balls of dough. One dough will not have color. Once you create these four balls of dough, you may further mix different colors of dough to create a spectrum of colors such as orange, purple, green, and more.
3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and allow to chill for 5 to 7 minutes so that it is easier to roll out.
4. On a floured surface, roll out each color of dough and stack alternating colors of dough on top of each other in a glass dish.
5. Remove the dough from the glass dish and slice into quarters. Stack the quarters onto each other.
6. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and allow to chill for 5 to 7 minutes so that it is easier to cut with the cookie cutters.
7. Slice the dough into thin slices that expose the colorful stripes and then use cookie cutters to cut into desired shapes.
8. Place the cookies 2" apart on a cookie sheet and bake for approximately 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
