Recipe: Cookies with Excessive Amounts of Leftover Halloween Candy

Recipe: Cookies with Excessive Amounts of Leftover Halloween Candy
Ingredients:
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 and 2/3 cups of old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 and 1/4 cup of chocolate Halloween candy - we used 1 cup of M&Ms, 2 Reese's cups, 1 Snickers, and 1 Hershey's Bar.  Use the quantities of your choice, but we recommend limiting the Snickers to just one per batch for better consistency.
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325-degrees.

2. Mix the butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until well mixed. If you are using a Nutri Ninja like us, use the Dough mode to mix these.

3. Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon to the wet mixture and mix until well blended. Again, if you are using a Nutri Ninja like us, use the Dough mode to mix these.

4. Add the old-fashioned rolled oats to the mixture and mix until well blended. Again, if you are using a Nutri Ninja like us, use the Dough mode to mix these.

5. Remove the blade from the Nutri Ninja and then pour the candy into the batter.

6. Mix the candy in by hand.

7. Scoop 1 Tablespoon balls of dough and place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

8. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes, until light golden brown.

9. Consume within 5 days or freeze leftovers.
