The Nintendo Ring Fit is a Great Way to Exercise Inside + Use it for At-Home PE Classes!

Thank you to Nintendo for providing the Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure product in this review. All opinions are honest and our own.

As a Boy Mom, I know the challenges associated with being quarantined with energetic children. It's not easy to work from home and to oversee virtual schooling. My children have a large age gap which adds to the challenges. One thing that is critical to our daily success is to make sure that my children have the opportunity to exercise. In today's post, I will tell you about a product that has become a lifesaver for our family -- the Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure

Let me share a short description of the Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure and then share our personal experience.

This is a quick overview of the Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure:
Explore a fantastical adventure world to defeat a bodybuilding dragon and his minions using real-life exercises! Traverse grass-swept plains by jogging in place, attack enemies with overhead shoulder presses, and refill your health meter by striking some yoga poses. Two new accessories, Ring -Con and Leg Strap, measure your real-world actions and help turn them into in-game movements. With additional minigames, Ring Fit Adventure is great escape for players of all skill levels and schedules. In Adventure mode, defeat enemies with attacks based on real-world exercises! As you work through each level (and possibly work up a sweat), you?ll earn experience points. Between fights, you may encounter some unusual methods of transportation such as squat-powered launch pads, and more! Want to compete with others? Pass around the Ring-Con accessory and select from a few minigames: break boxes with gusts of air, craft pottery using squats and many others. Learn about all the great new features, including a new voice option and a fun new Rhythm Game mode that are included in the latest free update.

In preparation for this post, I searched for reviews of the Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure. I was blown away to see the ratings because it is rare to see products with consistently high ratings from thousands of customers. In fact, when I did my research last week, the Ring Fit Adventure had ratings of 4.9/5.0 from 1,945 Best Buy customers, 4.9/5.0 from Walmart customers, 4.9/5.0 from Game Stop customers, and 4.8/5.0 from 9,170 Amazon customers.  After reading about the Ring Fit Adventure on the Nintendo website, watching a video, and reading reviews, I knew that we had to try this product because it seemed perfect for our family.

The Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure arrived on a Saturday morning. We cleared space in our game room and had our Nintendo Switch fully charged in anticipation on the game's arrival.  You'll want to make sure that you have space since you will move around with this game.

The box contained everything that we needed to get started.

Playing the game was a user friendly experience. We each customized our settings by following a simple guide that walked us through the process. The customization process was quick and gave us some familiarity with the system.

The games are very engaging. I don't want to spoil too many surprises, but I'll share a few examples so that you have an idea of what to expect. You'll  attach one of the controllers to your leg. This is important for running, squatting, and jumping in the game.

You will place the other controller in the ring so that it is able to track when you move, squeeze, and lift it for different activities in the game.

Another thing that I want to share is that the Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure is easy to scale to different schedules. It's a lot of fun for long sessions in evenings or weekends. It's also great for quick breaks. When my oldest son has a short break in between classes, the Nintendo Ring Fit facilitates a quick workout that reenergizes him. I notice that the short spurts of exercise help him throughout the day so that he fidgets less.

In my opinion, the Nintendo Fit Ring Adventure is one of the best products of 2020!  It's not easy to be quarantined at home with children, especially if you are working remotely and overseeing virtual schooling. Physical activity is really important during this time. However, the heavy Texas humidity often makes it undesirable to send children outside to play. The Nintendo Fit Ring Adventure is the ultimate solution for indoor exercise! It couldn't have come at a better time for our family!
