If your family needs to boost their spirits for the 2020 holiday season, Christmas 2020 at the Hilton Anatole should be at the top of your list. In today's post, I'll tell you about our recent visit to experience the Hilton Anatole for their 2020 Christmas activities. I will also highlight how their talented team pivoted to accommodate us during the COVID-19 pandemic by following the Hilton Event Ready protocols. Their amazing hospitality team deserves accolades because they are creative and pay meticulous attention to every detail. They created a unique and magical experience that our family will always treasure.
Let's start with COVID-19 safety. As a boy mom, I am nervous to go places, especially since my youngest is an energetic preschooler. We've had experiences such as him dropping his mask on the floor at a restaurant or touching things that he wasn't supposed to touch. We found a little stuffed animal bag that he uses to carry extra masks, wipes, and hand sanitizer. It's probably slightly overboard, but he is happy to carry it and we have found it helpful. On our trip to the Hilton Anatole, he brought his little bag, but it turns out that the hotel already had us covered. They had energetic staff members who were frequently cleaning. They provided numerous stations throughout the hotel with hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes. It seemed like a team of parents must have walked through the hotel to think of every possible place that even their messiest guests would find a need for hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes.
We were lucky to stay in a Santa Suite that is decorated for Christmas. Before I tell you more about the room, let me finish telling you about COVID safety. Our room was carefully cleaned following the extensive Hilton CleanStay protocols. After the cleaning staff follows the cleaning protocols, they seal the room. For your safety, no staff members enter the room during your stay unless you make a specific request.
You'll also notice that they give extra attention to sanitizing high touch areas such as the phone, thermostat, and remote control.
Throughout our stay, we noticed that their staff members were fabulous about cleaning. Their team knows that COVID-19 is on everyone's mind. They took many steps to make us feel safe and comfortable so that we could relax on our visit. We would definitely visit again without hesitation!
As I mentioned earlier, we stayed in a Santa Suite which provided a magical experience! The suite included two rooms, two bathrooms, and was decorated for Christmas.
We loved the Christmas tree, fresh poinsettias, and even a stocking and treats for our children!
The suite is nice for families because there are two rooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of space to spread out. For instance, here is a quick photo of the second bedroom.
Here is a photo of one of the bathrooms.
The Santa Suite alone made my children feel the magic of Christmas. We definitely recommend it! If you don't need quite as much space, there is also a Breakfast with Santa Package that provides a similarly whimsical experience.
- Photo opportunities with Santa and a live reindeer
- North Pole Cafe offering Naughty and Nice Cocktails and lite-bites for adults and children
- A performing Christmas Tree on stilts
- S’mores kits for use around the fire pit in the sculpture garden
- Children will be able to write letters to Santa and mail them directly to the North Pole via the mailbox in the lobby
- Evening movie night featuring holiday movies and popcorn
- Holiday arts and craft stations and games
- Breakfast with Santa
Another highlight of our visit was the evening snow! We were working on a craft when an employee came and told us to run outside while it was still snowing. The hotel made it snow for our little ones!
He also loves Bingo. The Hilton Anatole staff provided Hershey Kisses to use as bingo markers. The children kept the candy when they were done. This was a festive accommodation for COVID-19 that made the children happy!
The last thing that we did before bedtime was to write a letter to Santa. They provide a special template for little ones and a pre-addressed envelope with Santa's address.
My children were exhausted by the end of the evening and slept soundly. They were thrilled to wake up in the Santa Suite and to get ready for Breakfast with Santa. The breakfast was lovely. They used a 28,000 sqft. ballroom for this event. (That's not a typo!) Each family had a table that was at least 6' away from other tables. The buffet style breakfast was modified such that each table received generous portions of chocolate chip pancakes, blintzes, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and pastries.
