LEGOLAND Discovery Center Will Help Your Children to Create Happy Childhood Memories + Visit for the Limited Time Exhibit with LEGO DOTS!

Summer is almost here! Now that the vaccine is widely available, it's time to catch up on lost time and take our children to explore the world for happy childhood memories! In today's post, I'll tell you why LEGOLAND Discovery Center should be at the top of your list. I will also tell you about their limited time exhibit with LEGO DOTS! (Spoiler alert - LEGO DOTS are a lot of fun and LEGOLAND Discovery Center is giving away LEGO DOTS bracelets to children who visit until May 31, 2021!)

LEGOLAND Discovery Center is the ultimate destination for whimsical childhood experiences that involve hands-on building, saving a princess, experiencing a 4D movie, flying in one of Merlin's contraptions, driving a forest vehicle, splashing at Pirate Beach, and more. This magical play center recently celebrated their 10th year anniversary. They have a decade of experience in giving families memorable experiences to treasure!

Personally, we have been visiting LEGOLAND Discovery Center for almost 10 years with our oldest son. Our youngest son has been visiting since he was a toddler. Time flies!  LEGOLAND has continuously evolved over this time by keeping some of their core attractions and then rotating other attractions for extra excitement. We have many happy memories of different experiences over the past decade.

As I mentioned, LEGOLAND Discovery Center a magical place for children thanks to the collection of immersive experiences.  The different attractions allow children to practice everything from fine motor skills with iconic LEGO pieces to pretend play in different areas of the play center.   Let me share a few examples of our favorite activities.

We love the LEGO 4D Cinema. That's not a typo -- the movies are 4D. The designers of LEGOLAND Discovery Center pay meticulous detail to every attraction. One place that you'll notice this is in the movie theater. You wear 3D glasses for the movie. The 4D experience comes into play when there is snow, rain, splashing water, or wind. My children love it! (It's a great value since the 4D Cinema is included in your ticket price.)

Little ones have the chance to drive a LEGO vehicle through a LEGO  themed track!  I think that the opportunity to drive is a universal wishlist item for children. Similar other children, my preschooler can't wait to grow up and drive a vehicle. This fun driving course makes this wish come true. I love seeing his beaming smile as he drives around the track.

I don't want to spoil too many surprises for you, but let me share one more because it will only be here until May 31, 2021 and you won't want to miss it -- LEGO DOTS!  Here is a quick overview:
* Create your own DOTS panel and place it on the camper van or the DOTS Festival totem pole
* Don't forget to jump in our camper van for the perfect photo opportunity
* Design your own DOTS Bracelet
* Find DOTS art hidden in MINILAND for a chance to WIN a DOTS set giveaway
* Share your creations on social using #DOTYOURWORLD

My preschooler is obsessed with LEGO DOTS! First, the play area for this is magical.  They spared no expense and paid careful attention to detail, including everything from the decor to the step-by-step experience.

Your child gets to pick four different colors of LEGO DOTS. It's a fun experience because there are many different options! They have solid colors, a couple of different shapes, and emojis.  (In addition to choosing your favorite colors, we recommend choosing emojis for one of your four options. They have cute emoji designs!)

Each child receives a tray and square with their LEGO DOTS!

My son had fun working on his creation! It was a great opportunity to practice fine motor skills, counting, shapes, and patterns.

Once he was done, he couldn't decide whether to add his square to the totem pole or the camper van! This decision was serious business for a preschooler!

He thoroughly explored the camper van.

In the end, he decided to add it to the camper van!  After he placed his square on the camper van, an employee gave him a nice gift - a LEGO DOTS bracelet and extra LEGO DOTS pieces. (He has spent HOURS playing with the bracelet and special pieces at home!)

One our way out of this exhibit, he marveled at the decor above us. The LEGOLAND Discovery Center team members deserve recognition for paying such careful attention to detail. Even the decor on the ceiling added to the whimsical experience!

I hope that you enjoyed this glimpse into our recent visit to LEGOLAND Discovery Center!  Be sure to visit before May 31st if you want to share the LEGO DOTS experience with your children. Plus, check back soon because we will tell you about the LEGO Pirate Beach splash pad that opens soon. Your little pirates will love the LEGO Pirates themed splash pad, especially since the Texas heat is on the way!

PS - LEGOLAND Discovery Center is searching for a Chief Fun Officer. Is your child a perfect fit for this position? Would they give valuable input, enjoy attending special events for the rest of the year, and love to have session with a Master Builder?  If so, apply by April 30th!  You'll find the details here.
