Must-Have Toys and Accessories for Summer 2021!

 

It's time for summer vacation! In today's post, I'll share some of the hottest toys that we have personally tried and loved. In particular, we are highlighting toys that provided many hours of entertainment!

The Magformers Backyard Adventure Set makes it fun for kids to continue learning throughout the summer!  If you follow regularly, you may already know that we are a fan of Magformers.  As a mom and an engineer, I love that this set is STEM.org approved and encourages creativity. Personally, we've been cutting back on screen time. Magformers has made the transition easier because our preschooler is obsessed with this Backyard Adventure Set. This particular set is generously packed with 61 pieces, including a couple of pieces that even light up! Our son has spent hours building and using his imagination. 

There is a combinatorial explosion in the number of possible builds. Our 4 year old has built many versions of houses and playgrounds! He loves the little characters that come with the set - Max, Maggie and Minibot. It's fun to watch his creativity in action as he has the characters explore his creations! The Tileblox Rainbow 14Pc Set is another great set to encourage STEM learning this summer.  This magnetic tile play set includes 14 pieces in square and triangle shapes.  This set is perfect for an introduction to TileBlox or to expand an existing collection. I'm always amazed with the cool things that my preschooler creates. For instance, he has built houses, animals, a rocket, and more! The photo below shoes a little picnic basket for his stuffed animals. I love that this set encourages STEM, creativity, and helps him with his fine motor skills. This set is recommended for ages 3+. PLAYMOBIL's 1.2.3. Knight’s Castle Sand Bucket is sure to create happy childhood memories! Hit the beach this summer with this adorable, high-quality pail, shovel, mold, and sweet little characters. It's perfect for the beach or backyard fun. This toy set offers the opportunity for hours and hours of imaginative play. You find it at playmobil.us. 

Wing Ball (Hog Wild; $14.99) is perfect for outdoor fun! Thanks to its unique design, you can throw Wing Ball super speeds, great distances and even master the perfect spiral. This toy is great for kids and adults. My children liked it in our backyard and in the pool. It floats which makes it fun for the beach and pool. You'll find it on Amazon here.

Go Go Bird (Zing; $39.99) is another fun and whimsical outdoor toy. R/C meets today’s trending drone toys with the wing-flapping Go Go Bird. Perfect for the outdoors or on the beach fun - this modern day kite flies distances of up to 100 feet! With a smart obstacle-avoiding module that uses infrared sensors, Go Go Bird has autonomous obstacle recognition and will automatically turn around 6 feet away from the wall for self-protection. Inside of Go Go Bird, there’s also a six-axis sensor, so it can take off by lifting your hand up and down when you’re ready to fly. My youngest son finds in magical! CaliCase solves a problem that many people encounter on summer vacations - the need to keep their phone, driver's license, credit card, money, or other small necessities safe on trips to a beach, pool, or waterpark.  CaliCase is really nice because it's generously sized, waterproof, floats, and easy to use.

It's easy to insert and remove my iPhone. I simply slide it in and the close the two dials to lock it.
