Thanks to Wonderful Halos for providing the projects, supplies, and some of the the photo featured at the top and bottom of this post!

If you follow regularly, you know that we love Wonderful Halos!  These kid-friendly mandarins are perfect for snacking. They are also great for class parties throughout the year. In today's post, we recreate three different Wonderful Halos Valentine's DIY projects that are perfect for class parties or family fun! Each DIY craft is child friendly and delicious!  If your little one makes a mistake, they can always eat their delicious mistake and keep going! All of my personal photos in this post include the work of my kindergartener! I've never shared his work here before, but I thought that it was important to show his creations to make the point that these DIY projects are great for class parties and family fun evenings!

Here is a photo of the supplies! Please keep reading to see what my son created!

DIY Craft: Halos Cupid's Bow

Supplies

  • 1 wonderful halos mandarins
  • 1 can of vanilla frosting
  • serrated knife
  • cutting board
  • toothpicks
  • heart sprinkles

Instructions
1. Peel a Halos mandarin and separate into segments.

2. Place two segments onto a cutting board facing in opposite directions to create a ‘V’.

3. Use the knife to cut a small piece on each end of the segment, at an angle about 1/3”. Slide the two halves together to make a heart shape.

4. Push a toothpick through the two halves, diagonally, until it is sticking out a bit on both ends.

5. Repeat steps above 3x.

The photo below shows my kindergartener's creations! You may notice that he dropped a lot of sprinkles, but that added to the charm of this project! Cupids arrows are beautiful and tasty!
