Let's start from the beginning.  Our NewAir Chest Freezer (NFT070GA00) arrived at our doorstep by FedEx. As expected, the box was quite large since it is a 6.7 cu. ft. chest freezer.  My husband used his dolly to transport it from our front porch to the garage and unpacked it without any problems.  The packaging was great - the freezer made it from California to Texas in perfect condition without any dents or scratches.  Here is a photo after we removed it from the box.

The compact design includes an interior wire basket for easy organization. This is great for families that want easy access to their most frequently used items. 

When I researched chest freezers, I read that some brands offer interior wire basket and this is important for optimizing the space in a chest freezer. 

Now that we have this unit, I realize the value of this advice!  It's especially great for store more frequently accessed items or fragile items that you don't want anything to potentially crush.

The door alarm is a family friendly feature that helps to prevent accidental loss of valuable food items. I also love that it has a nice light that helps when we need to organize and search for items.

Every once in a while, you may want to empty, defrost, and clean the unit.  There is a user friendly drain. For instance, the photo below shows the plug on the inside. It's designed to make it easy for you to drain and place a pan underneath to catch liquid.

There is also a practical feature with a self-diagnose program to help troubleshoot issues on the spot. Again, the designers of this chest freezer seemed to think of everything. I'm sure that users are frustrated when something goes wrong. This extra help could go a long way!
